July 4th

The Republican candidates dominated every NOVA event, and every road during the July 4th celebrations. On 123, Kilgore's crew placed at least 400 signs between Braddock and Vienna, and at least 20 4 x 8's on 123. At the Fairfax City Parade, Jerry Kilgore walked with Congressman Davis , while Bill Bolling and Bob McDonnell were at the Dale City parade. Although I did not see Tim Kaine, I did hear he was showing up late. The Unity was great, and it appears that many primary wounds have healed. Best Parade Outfit goes to Senator Allen, who wore a Cowboy hat, Cowboy Shoes, and road on a Horse in Fairfax City. What a guy.

Hate to admit this but the Dem marchers outnumbered the Republicans at the Dale City parade by a 2-1 margin. Bolling and Mcdonnell were very stiff - they didn't seem comfortable with real voters (those outside the party). Tom Davis tried to get Kilgore moving, which he did to a point. These candidates seemed to understand that Nova is there for their taking - our tax money that is.
