AFP on Mason-Dixon

An article in the Augusta Free Press this morning attemps to break down the Mason-Dixon numbers even further. It brings up the fact that Virginia Republicans are adamantly against the tax increase that 57% of Virginians agree with. It also notes that Kilgore's campaign hasn't pushed hard about the tax issue yet, and judging by these numbers, it seems like that was a good plan. It will be interesting to view how the constituents vote in some of the various delegate races with staunch anti-tax candidates such as Golden, and Craddock.

Don't forget that, in the Mason-Dixon poll, a plurality of Republicans supported Warner's tax reform, 44% to 40.

Tax Increase. Say it with me. Tax Increase.

I am dissappointed that this poll has not revealed any internal information. But it is being used extensively.

Given its variance with all the other polls, it is dangerous to read too much into this poll until you see the underlying numbers.

How did so many voters suddenly become "undecided"?

You keep tryin' to control the terms of the debate, Kenton, and we'll keep tellin' the truth!

Aside from that, Mason-Dixon historically overstates Democrat support. I don't doubt that their pollingon the tax numbers is flawed, too.

Probably oversampling Connaughtonites.
