9 Lives

While checking up on Leslies Liberal Record online, I was remembering early primary morning. At an election spot, I was checking out the huge Byrne signs with the enormous picture of herself on them. I noticed that the "Lt. Governor" looked like a sticker, so I went over, pulled it off, and discovered a Delegate, State Senate, and Congress stickers all beneath the Lt. Governor one. Time for new signs? The Changing faces of Leslie Byrne: Congresswoman /Clinton's Consumer Affair Director /Campaigning Against Tom Davis /State Senator Byrne Byrne campaigning for Kerry after her first choice, Howard Dean didn't quite win the primary Byrne campaigning now for Lt. Governor! Leslie Byrne, How does she have 9 political lives you may ask? Because her identical clone, Nurse Ratchet, somehow always nurses her back to heath. Time for a new slogan, ""First of all, she can't win re-elections" -Bolling, carry this home.

I think Bolling wins all except Alexandria, Arlington, Falls Church, and Fairfax.

I give Byrne Charlottesville and Richmond cities. Hampton as well and maybe Norfolk.

I agree with mr jms....no way that Bolling will win C'ville, Richmond, Hampton or Norfolk.....you might even want to throw Williamsburg in that mix along with Surry, Charles City Co., and the other rural areas along the James in that neck of the woods.

How many re-elections has she run for and lost?

I'm very suspicious of perennial office seekers (viz. Bill Clinton). what has this woman done in her life to distinguish herself (outside of running for everything in sight)? there really has to be some psychological thing going on that causes this, whether it's Leslie Byrne or anyone else). What is her profession. I guess I could look it up. Be right back. OK, I looked it up. Before she started running for stuff, she worked a lot with her kids' PTA. Well, that's not unimportant, bless her for her service, but it isn't good enough. It's a good thing that we have a candidate running against her who has a stellar record of accomplishment in non-political enterprise, business or the professions, military service, excellent educational credentials, tax cutting successes, etc. Ooops! You don't say. Well, never mind. I still hate these perennial political types who lack substnative bios. Our one-dimnesional caniddate can beat their one dimensional candidate any day. At least he gets hisself re-elected.

Let's see:

Before running for office, Byrne worked for PTAs. Before he ran for office, Bolling was an officer with The Reciprocal Group. Better leave that one alone, guys. And hope the Dems do the same. That's a real loser.

Nurse Ratchet... Awesome!

Great slogan as well. The best post I've read on Byrne so far.

Tom Davis' first campaign slogan (against Byrne) was "Not just change; change for the better." Sadly, we cannot say the same about Leslie's changing face.
