Sore losers

Tonight I witnessed what would undeniably be considered the most disgusting display of being a sore loser i think I have ever encountered in my life. This actually surpassed John Edwards in the recent presidential election. Gary Reese coming out tonight and endorsing Caputo was of course no surprise. However, the language he used showed how out of touch he is with the republican party. Reese started by saying that he was sorry that the district was being taken over by extremists. He then went on to say that he and Chuck have been friends for 26 years. Odd though, how this "friend" of 26 years announced his intent to run before Craddock even won the primary. Would Reese still be calling Chuck his "friend" had they been facing each other for the seat? Craddock made some good points during the debate about bringing equity to nova taxpayers, by using the 51 votes between hampton roads (who is also a treasure chest for the richmond bureaucracy) and nova to help with the traffic problem. Good old Chucky responded to this by saying that he didnt want to "ram down their (richmond) throats" nova interests. Later when speaking about estate taxes, he said he would instead of capping taxes, he would go to richmond for funds for nova....this is a clear contradiction.

Gary has been saying that "extremist" stuff in private for a long time. He said it publicly in the papers right after he was trounced by Craddock. This is exactly why the voters put him out in June.

Neocon: you need better sources. Caputo got in the race as a "place-holder" because everyone was worried Reese would lose and they didn't want Craddock unopposed. If Reese won, the plan was for Caputo to take a walk. Why do you think it took him so long to get in the race after Craddock won? He hadn't actually counted on having to run.
