Newest Craddock Article

The Satanview ...sorry I mean Centreview has released yet another article taking aim at Craddock. This time around, even his own party is twisted against him. "MR. CRADDOCK has made his comments, and I'm sure he stands by them," said Eric Lundberg, chairman of the Fairfax County GOP. "You can't unring a bell. He's not articulating a party position, one way or the other."Noting that Fairfax County has a wide variety of orientations, ethnic groups and political views, he said Craddock is free to express his own views "and then the voters can have the final say on election day.""But that's why we have the public square," said Lundberg. "He'll have to press forward with the issues of the day and with his campaign, in the context of those statements." Ex-Delegate Gary Reese is also yet again interviewed. A huge Craddock supporter Stephanie Lacey is quoted as saying he "needs to exercise more discretion when speaking [and] think before he speaks." The Chantilly Times also had an article on the 67th this week. They found a way to mention Chris' Africa comments, and his no-show at the Chantilly debate in the same paragraph. Even with the constant barage of negative press...Craddock is still pressing on, and I feel will win the race.

Too Conservative,

I agree. I feel at the end of the day, the voters will write this negative press off as nothing more than ridiculous. Apparantly Chuck has formed some pretty close ties to the local reporters. I can't remember the last race where there was this much negative press on one candidate. It's absurd.

I also think that given the low turnout that's expected in this election, Craddock is still a favorite to win this race. He will undoubtedly have an amazing ground game for the last 72 hours. Given the Caputo campaign's lack of effort thus far, I find it hard to believe that they have a large list of supporters to turn out to vote for Chuck on Election Day. At this point, they are trying to suppress Craddock's base from turning out -- and that won't work because traffic tickets aren't going to keep staunch pro-lifers or anti-tax folks at home on election day. It just doesn't work.

baloney. Craddock will lose because the firefighters, teachers, police, and county workers will vote against him in droves.
