Time to Give it to the Youngin's?

Mason Conservative has an interesting post up on leadership within the House GOP Caucus. I am not 100% sure I agree with him on the lack of leadership in the House. I think Speaker Howell is making a solid attempt to get the troops lined up for this next session. The Virginia Reform Initiative should be coming out with some good policies for the body to act on this session. The real question will be however the defense in the upcoming battle that is Governor KainecChester's "Budget Reform". If Howell can hold together the caucus and not fear shutting down the state government then he will be the leader of our party, regardless of who the Lt Governor or Attorney General offices, and I would back him for Governor in 2009. If he doesn't then expect him and Griffith to be run out of town by the caucus. They may not be the far-right (ala Black and Marrs), but they are principled conservatives who are tired of the weakness of the House. As to MC's ideas- Albo and Saxman are personal favorties of mine. Both are absolutely wonderful Delegates. I would expect Albo to sit on the Dias one day, but believe Saxman has his eyes set on something else. Bell also seems to be posturing for a statewide run depending on what Paul Harris does. Frederick needs a little more seasoning and to be fully accepted by the caucus. Right now I think he is an outsider looking in, but I chalk most of this up to him being the young 'whipper snapper' in Richmond. Once he matures a little bit and releaizes he is not the sole focus of the world he will be a leader in this party.

Great post. Right on target on House Leadership. Lets all hope the troops stay inline this time.

I think Albo and Saxman have great futures- I wouldn't leave out Hugo either.

Albo's future has been crushed by his actions in '04 on behalf of child molesters.

I honestly believe the Werkheiser campaign still has some douchebag on payroll whose sole job is to trash Albo on blogs w/ this bogus child molester crap.

I agree with Anon 4:39! Give it a rest. It's a bogus charge.

Pay me for this??? I care about Werkheiser. Does it ever occur to you that people who have a strong interest in child protection laws would take extreme interest in Albo's actions in '04? You guys should really read that bill and look at the changes that were removed after PROTECT intervened.

Pay me? I do this because I enjoy sticking it to this guy whose reckless behavior jeopardizes young childrens well-being.

Amend that to "I could care less about Werkheiser"

First of all, I guess that was a Freudian slip with the whole, "I care about Werkheiser" comment. Second, if it really is, "all about child protection," and nothing else, why do you feel the need to post anonymously? Maybe because you are trashing Dave Albo w/ bogus information.

An anonymous poster questioning an anonymous poster. Now that's rich.

Meanwhile, it's clear to anyone who reads that bill that he (1) expanded indecent liberty law to actually acts and not proposals and (2) made that a class 6 felony (previously it was a class 1 misdemeanor but did not cover acts - just proposing acts).

He did this for a prosecutor or one of his defense attorney friends. This guy's a slime ball...

He claims that this charge was made up out of thin air. That this group made it up to raise money. That's the most dishonorable thing that a person could say.

Wow, you didn't answer the question. Why are you afraid of putting your name next to your Albo attacks?

Perhaps he/she/it has an unrequited crush on Mr. Albo. That would help explain this unhealthy obsession.
