College Republicans

I believe one of the most interesting events that will take place down at the Homestead will be the election of a new group of College Republican leaders. Heres a quick look at who's running: President TJ Maloney(Shenandoah University)- Huge activist from Winchester. Great guy, hard worker, level-minded. Andrew Lamar(Mary Washington)-Endorsed by Bill Bolling, Bob McDonnell, Bill Howell. 1st Vice Lauren O'Neil(Virginia Tech)-Chair of Tech Republicans Elizabeth Beemer(Mary Baldwin)-Former CRFV Political Director 2nd Vice Amber Smith(Patrick Henry College) Brian Gunn(UVA) Treasurer Matt Pinsker(William& Mary)-Former Virginia Teenage Republican Chairman, Henrico County Campaign Manager for Bill Bolling. Endorsed by Bolling , Jannis Mary Pauline Jones(Christopher Newport)-Daughter of Sue Jones, worked on many campaigns including Kilgore, Tom Davis, and Tom Rust. Recording Secretary Paul Negrin(University of Richmond) Jennifer Bell(Longwood) Corresponding Secretary Jarret Ray(JMU) Bob Lawson(Tech) The Chairman have all got their own down ticket candidates and are running on tickets. TJ's in Red Adam in Blue TJ and Co have not made attempts for endorsements, while Adam's crew seems to be raking them in. Too Conservative's Two Picks:TJ , who has a long list of experiences will be able to refresh the organization. He is well connected around the state, and well-liked. Good luck TJ. Matt Pinsker was Chair of VATARS before me, and worked hard building the organization. He will be able to bring his grass roots experience to the position.

While advancing age forced me to hang up my CR cleats a long time ago, I cannot say enough good things about TJ Maloney. He is an exceptionally hard worker with solid leadership skills, and the ability to inspire others. He knows that when Republicans are united, they win and that when Republicans win, those great principles we put into our Virginia Republican Creed can become operational public policy to the great benefit of our citizens. We admire TJ's good work so much in Loudoun County that we reached across the Blue Ridge to adopt him into the Loudoun County Republican Committee.
TJ, good luck. I look forward to seeing you at the Advance.

Lies, blackmail, intimidation, threats. Is it time really for another College Republican election already? I can't wait: pass the popcorn.

I have heard many good things about TJ Maloney but I do not know him personally.
I am sure the 2 VT people are good, they went to Tech after all.

Matt Pinskers grassroots? Is that 4 people or 5 people he managed to bring to events across Virginia? They would be crazy if they elect that idiot. "I am Matt Pinsker from Richmond, Ver-gin-ee-a"

Paul Negrin was Janis's field director and got his endorsement. He's also being endorsed by the outgoing recording secretary. He's a great guy and will be a very hard worker.

There wasn't much drama, and the real shocker came from the race for Treasurer. Without any deals, offers, or anything like that, Pinsker decided NOT to run at the last minute, and endorsed his opponent, explaining that he would be able to help the party more by strengthening his club at William and Mary instead of raising money for the CRFV. Now THAT is the type of person we need leading the party.
