On The Death Penalty

Of course-With Mark Warner's clemency granted to convicted killer Robin Lovitt, all of the crazy liberals have come out of the woodwork proclaiming the coming end of the death penalty. An editorial in the Seattle Times notes:

Leading conservative Christians are struggling with their consciences over how to square their opposition to abortion with support for death sentences
The Baltimore Sun claims:
If Mr. Warner seeks the presidency, the commutation is unlikely to hurt him
. With polling numbers stating over 65% of Americans still agree with the death penalty , I imagine it would still be a huge plank in elections. The more I hear about this clemency, I think it might have been a Warner political move, to begin irking to the left.

You do notice that that these are not Virginia papers? They are obviously putting a spin on this.
