Racism in New Orleans?

Eight generations of African-Americans are still waiting to achieve their rights - compensation and restitution for the hundreds of years during which they were bought and sold on the market. -Cynthia McKinney President George W. Bush knew about September 11th before hand, but didn't do anything about it so that his friends could get rich in a war -Cynthia McKinney "Jews - that's J-E-W-S." -- Democratic state representative Bill McKinney on why his daughter Cynthia lost in 2002

Cynthia McKinney= a crazy leftie from Georgia who only remains in office because her district is down-town Atlanta, has been recently been bantering about FEMA's failure to act because of racism, suprising? She has continuously asked for hearings on the racism issue, but no one responded...until now.
Rep. Tom Davis, R-Va., who is chairing the House Katrina panel, said it is important that the committee look into the perceptions, right or wrong, about the role racism played in the government's response.
Numerous papers have the story, as Congressman Tom Davis presided over a recent hearing in which numerous African Americans alleged racism. McKinney, whose former staffer Ken Longmeyer ran against Congressman Tom Davis, just continues to prove how insane she is. Come on Georgias 4th Congressional! You deserve better.

Willis-
Look at the quotes above.

She wants reparations for slavery, and she claimed bush knew about 9.11.

Her own party refused to acknowledge her in the Democratic Caucus for a little. She is constantly primaried from the right, and lost in 2002.

SHE IS INSANE. If you need more loony quotes Ill be sure to get you some.

Willis,

"No" or "Know"?

Cynthia continues to take this track whenever possible thinking she is serving her voters and her party. She does not understand that she is the attitude that holds people back and not improving themselves. Look at the 9th ward. If she cared she would have never allowed those people to depend on the govt so much and they would have taken care of themselves....

TC-

As I said earlier, you offer no evidence that those quote are looney.

Many black people want reparations for slavery. While I don't agree with that sentiment, I wouldn't call it a "looney" idea.

As for GWB being behind 9/11, that isn't a looney idea at all.

Willis,

You are looney based on your inane comments.

Willis,

If you want accusations without substance you might try the following people: Cynthia McKinney, Michael Moore, Howard Dean, Teddy Kennedy, John Kerry, Nancy Pelosi, Cindy Sheehan, John Murtha, ... I could go on and on. BTW, these people are all on the Left...

Willis-

I have the quotes above, they are not without substance.

She is a loon.

TC-

You offered up her quotes, and called her looney.

You have yet to provide any evidence that her quotes are without merit. I would challenge you to do so, because I know you can't.

Yeah right Willis, it's completely substantive to say George Bush knew about 9-11 beforehand an purposefully did nothing about it in order to make some $. I suppose he also created Hurricaine Katrina and had the Navy Seals blow up the levies. That would have to be a substative statement too. Oh and btw the earth is flat as well. You are nuts!

There actually is substantive evidence that our goernment knew about 9/11 beforehand. I can't speak for GWB specifically, but I'm almost positive our government was involved.

Regarding the levies, there isn't as much evidence about that yet. I don't know how I feel about that, I should do some research.

How did bush know about 9/11?

I'll send you a link. Read carefully. This is an overview, focusing on building 7.

The argument that building 7 was demolished with explosives is pretty much infallible. That pretty much proves prior prior knowledge, and thus proves government involvement.

Enjoy the link.

And the CIA killed JFK, and FDR actually planned Pearl Harbor. Your conspiracy thories belie a kind of paranoia that is to me scary.

If in fact Bush knew and planned all this there would be no way to keep a lid on it and don't you think the press would have it all over the news? C'mon, something like that is just too big to cover up and it's disgusting to me to make the accusation.

Did I say anything about JFK or Pearl Harbor?? No. Just more unfounded accusations without substance.

Did I say anything about Bush planning this?? No. That might be the case, but all I can say is that our government, in some capacity, knew about it.

As for your final comment, that something this big couldn't be missed by the press and is too disgussting to consider, I know what you mean. I felt the same way, up until I read all the evidence.

Just because your current worldview makes believing this type of thing impossible, doesn't make it false automatically. Your worldview, in this case, is precluding you from considering the evidence fairly, and thus leading you to make false assumptions. You should make an attempt to consider the evidence impartially before passing judgement.

Perhaps the one misrepresentation of the Hurricane survivors I hate most. How could these overwhelmingly poor, under-informed, transportation-lacking people magically take care of themselves, which, I assume, means get out? Where would the money come to get out? Where would they go? What hotel pre-Katrina was offering free rooms? How would they eat? You want to talk about whether or not someone knew something beforehand, do you believe they knew the magnitude of this hurricane? of the resultant levee breaks?

I mean, I know this is a conservative site and y'all tend to see poverty--especially poverty of people of color-- as a sign of moral, human failing, displeasure from God, and that old standby--laziness and lack of ambition on the part of us always-looking-for-a-handout minorities, but good grief! Many did not want to go, but please accept that many COULD NOT GO!
