Davis Supports Blunt

As the Washington Post writes about the corruption of the "conservative" Blunt administration, moderate Republican Chris Shays says "I am excited to see DeLay leave", and the moderate/conservative team of Reps. Charlie Bass (R.-N.H.) and Jeff Flake (R.-Ariz.) support Rep. John Shadegg... Congressman Tom Davis has come out in support of Roy Blunt for Majority Leader. I believe this is a great decision by the Congressman, and it shows yet again his determination to grow our party, and continue to hold onto our core principles as Congressman Blunt and DeLay did. While I am not excited about Eric Cantors move up to Majority Whip, I believe Blunt was the best choice for Majority Leader.

I wonder if this has to due with Cantor's whip position. If Blunt moves up to majority leader, then fellow Virginian Cantor can move up to whip.

I would guess theres some terf war going on there-yea.

Maybe Davis' support puts Cantor out of a Senate run.

Cantor does not want to run for the Senate. He wants to move up in the House. Davis wants to run for the Senate and so wants to get along with downstate people.

Out with the corrupt, in with the corrupt??? The Hastert, Delay, Blunt, Cantor team was the most corrupt in history, so the republicans cleaning effort does what? A Hastert, Blunt, Cantor team now leads!

A change indeed.

Yes, but Freddie, remember the old saw: "Those of you who think you know it all are very annoying to those of us who do." ;-)
