Fun Times At The Polls UPDATED

While at Lees Corner , Ben from NLS and Sully School Board Member Kathy Smith stopped by for a half hour or so..and we had some enjoyable conversation. New numbers-83 at Floris(9:15) 96 at lees corner west(9:30) 54 at lees corner east(9:30) The Herring campaign has very good poll coverage, with 4 democrats being at Lees Corner for a short time. Every poll I have visited, they have had someone. A member of the campaign came by LC and told the Herring group they were going to begin knock and drag in Franklin, Kinross, and Lees Corner precincts. Supervisor Staton seems to be making the rounds, and was at South Riding earlier this morning.I have heard from the campaign that the areas in which they went door to door more, they are seeing a higher turnout. With the rain having stopped-the night time shift could be the deciding factor. I have been around to 6 polling locations, and have spoken with people of both parties across the 33rd. Again, I hope I am wrong..but my honest assessment is that Supervisor Herring will come out ahead. Keep looking to TC for coverage of the race through close of the polls, and the after-party at Kirkpatricks in Ashburn. UPDATE:Sources in Loudoun tell me precincts in Loudoun have broken the 200 voter mark. I also hear that Herring is pumping more volunteers into Fairfax than Loudoun.

Perhaps he's pumping the workers into Fairfax because his numbers in Loudoun aren't as good as Staton's. From what I know, this seat is primarily in Loudoun with some precincts in Western Fairfax. I wonder if there would be enough voters there to make a difference.
