Let's see Al Gore explain this one

So much for Global Warming.

I may be wrong, but I believe "global warming" is not really the best term. Although the theory suggests that temperatures will gradually rise by a couple degrees on the earth, it is the effect of this slight rise in temperature that causes concern. One of the possible results is extreme weather--not just increased warmth. In that respect, snow in Hawaii might actually fit in perfectly with the theory of global warming.

It's a direct result of the Bush Administration neglect of the real issues that face America and their relationships with Big Oil.

The Bush Administration wants to cover up all volcanos in the world because we are developing break through technologies to extract energy from lava flow that will replace our dependency on foreign oil. That would not be good for Bush's friends so they had Karl Rove develop a plan to create snow storms over the top of all volcanos in the hopes of stopping all lava flow from them.

It's as simple as that!

The global warming lobby can easily explain this as another example of the climate becoming more extreme because of greenhouse gases

I hope you're joking.

Snow in Hawaii means nothing. Absolutely nothing.

It neither strengthens or weakens the global warming case. It's just an example of extreme weather. Blah.

The Global warming debate is not "It's getting warmer!" vs "It's not getting warmer!"

Temperatures are rising. That's a fact.

The point of contention is the cause of rising temperatures. Conservatives say that it's just a naturally occurring phenomenon.

Liberals say that increased levels of greenhouse gases are causing the warming.

My own opinion? It may be a bit of both. But any idiot who has taken a 101 atmospheric science class can tell you that the presence of more greenhouse grasses heats up the atmosphere. And there's plenty of quack science on the conservative side...

Not to mention that there are plenty of scientists on the side of creating doomsday scenarios so that they can get more government funding.

the temperature has fluctuated over time. there have been other weather patterns in the past which are similar to the "extreme" weather we are experiencing. that being said, i do believe that there is reason for us to be more environmentally conscious. this does not mean selling your suv's (unless you want to save money on gas), but rather, simple things that will lower your gas and electric bills.

this overreaction to the weather is made by people who so arrogant to assume that our generations of humans actually have the capacity to destroy a planet that has existed millions of years.
