The Most Over-Used Phrase in Virginia

Tim Kaine's opening statement during his response , "as a young missionary". How did we elect this man? He lies through his teeth. He is such a pawn of the far-left. "Its about the rights given to us by our creator"

Could be worse, he could be quoting Navin R. Johnson as played by Steve Martin in "The Jerk."

Did you notice in the live shots after the speech that he never raises "The Brow" when his wife is around? What's up with that???

There's a better way? I'm still waiting for the answer, Mr. Kaine..... It's 10:44... I'm still waiting....

I knew it... The after-speech commentators couldn't keep it "Warner-free" for 1 hour. He is the Governor from Warner's... blah, blah, blah... greatest state because of Warner...

the fiscal surplus Gov. Kaine talked about came from a huge taxs. The better way is to tax and spend then run for a higher office

He seemed like he was trying to sound religious. A far-left man would embrace atheism.

I think the D.s totally botched any opportunity they had to kick the Pres. by having Kaine give their speech. Who outside of Virginia knows who Gov. Timmy is? practically nobody. The national D.s thought the American people would be impressed by having a Dem. who won governorship in a Southern state up there talking. How many people actually care about that fact?

Having a relative unknown give their speech just goes to prove they have absolutely no leadership within their party. They can't point to a single person in their party and say he (or she) is the person who best represents our party.

Too bad Republicans are going to beat themselves come '06 election day. If it weren't for the corruption scandals I think we'd actually pick up seats in the House this year. Unfortunately too many of our guys will probably be sitting behind bars come election day.

Let's give TK a year or two in office, let him give a SOTU-type speech to Virginian's, and have W give the rebuttal and put him in his place!

Help me out here--I honestly don't get your post, TC. Are you suggesting that Governor Kaine was lying that he was a young missionary?

Lucy, at the risk of stating the obvious, perhaps he has trouble getting it (his brow) up when his wife is around.

Common problem among middle-aged men.

"A Better Way"?

I think he is stealing lines from "The Candidate"...this is the phrase that Bill McKay (Robert Redford) uses in closing all his campaign speeches.
