Staton's Chances Get Better

From what I continue to hear across Loudoun County-Supervisor Mick Staton's campaign has been able to turn out their base. Whether or not it will be enough to overcome Herring's superior strength on the ground(today) is yet to be seen. A continuing low-turn out district-wide tonight is crucial for a Staton victory. Considering the rain this morning, I would believe the turn-out will increase a lot tonight. I am leaving the hill in about 45 minutes to head to Ashburn and close a poll. If the campaign finds out the victor before the SBE I will post the winner immediately after I hear.

low turnout = GOP Victory

Yahoo! (?)

Why does this dull my celebratory instincts?

If we could just get turnout down into the single digits, we could hold on to Northern Virginia.

Any truth to the rumour that the Board of Elections Officers are pulling the Republican sample ballots because they are illegally done? Apparently the only color not allowed to be used is yellow since that is the Board of Elections color. If so, typical dirty tricks by the Republicans once again.

"Rumour?" Are you blogging from jolly old England? Or maybe Canada, eh?

What kind of idiot needs a sample ballot anyway? There's only one race, with two names (and a line for write-in). If you can't understand that, then you have business voting.

When I voted at Potomac Falls, HS, everyone working there said turnout was low. Whether they meant low in general or low for a special election, I don't know. The Staton volunteer said the Herring volunteers were being mean to her. I think she was serious.

I am sure she was serious...just another case of typical dirty tricks by the Democrats again.

Sample ballots can be any colour except for white.
