Worth $25

Well-I met my future wife at CPAC today. Her name=Michelle Malkin. I even snagged a picture with her, and was very impressed by how she conducted herself in person. -well worth the 25 bucks As Senator Frist walked around the event, he was continuously asked about a run for President..and his response was something to the degree of "I kept my promise and just served two Senate terms. I want to go home and spend time with my family. If duty calls me back, I will serve." Judge Janis Law was very interesting to speak to. She lives in DeLay's district in Texas, and presided over a case regarding sodomy which eventually went to the Supreme Court. She explained in more detail some of the politics behind this years gubernatorial race in Texas, in which Governor Rick Perry will take on a Democrat, independent(Kinky Friedman), and independent Republican who is related to Scott Mcclellan. It seems the independent Republican Carole Strayhorne is no Russ Potts..and has a big base following. She is likely to swing the election one way. Judge Law also spoke very highly of Baylor University and its "prestigious" status within Texas, and the South. If it is not snowing too bad tomorrow , I will go in for the tail-end of the day just to see Newt Gingrich.

TC, just don't wind up like the guy who has a restraining order against him because he stalked Ann Coulter. A buddy of mine worked CPAC a few years ago and the staff was briefed on Coulter's stalker.

That's sweet TC. Does Miss Malkin know she's engaged? (Well I guess she does now since it's on the blog) Ok let's have it... where's the scoop? I just love a good love story!

Little republican babies everywhere! That's one way to build the base!!!

Wait a second, isn't she married? :) Heh, you do have good taste though. Such a beautiful, intelligent woman, it is a shame she is already called for.

TC, I'm pretty sure MR. Malkin would object. As would their two children.

Ready to be a father, TC? ;-)

NoVa Dem,

Wow, an easy one! I can finally answer a question...

Her blog comes up first when you type in racist asian conservative because she has an entry about how insulting liberals are to her:

The racist and sexist "yellow woman doing a white man's job" knock is a tiresome old attack from impotent liberals that I've tolerated a long time. It is pathetic that I have to sit here and tell you that my ideas, my politics, and my intellectual capital are mine and mine alone in response to cowardly attacks from misogynistic moonbats with Asian whore fixations.

I have to say, she's got it goin' on...

She's almost as insane as Coulter is. I completely disregard her.

Anne Coulter is still single.
She would fit right in with you TC, lots of GOPs say she is "Too Conservative".

"She's almost as insane as Coulter is"

Actually Willis, I would say she is just as insane as Coulter seeing as neither is insane at all and both are completely stable as well as well spoken and intelligent.

TC:

Sorry that Ms. Malkin is taken, but she is a bit too old for you anyway. Again, if you were a bit older, you could legitimately pine for Monica Crowley. Monica is not married, seems like a very nice conservative lady, and is armed with a PhD. Beauty and brains.

TC, I think you have a problem. You apparently have no time to pay attention to the real world.

I thought that was true a few weeks ago when you said you didn't have any idea who the Captain was (or was it Hugh Hewitt, I can't remember).

And now you did't know anything about Michelle, who doesn't go a week on her highly popular blog without mentioning her husband, or a day or two without mentioning her children.

So, I recommend a crash course in the real world for you. Please put the following blogs on your daily reading list:

CaptainsQuarters -- Ed Morrisey has a keen ear for what's going on in the country and the world, and is also an accomplished writer with his own regular featured column in the Daily Standard.

MichelleMalkin -- You met the woman, now read her blog. This is pretty easy, a lot of the time she's just aggregating news from others (if you need to know what that means, get Hugh Hewitt's book about the web). Michelle also has a regular written column. Be warned, some think of her as a real "B" type, what with her best-selling book about why it was OK to intern the japanese-americans in WW2.

PowerLine - A must-read for the serious pundit.

NationalReview.com -- the online site for the National Review, they have regular columns from a wide range of intelligent conservative writers. Anchored by Bill Buckley (mostly retired now), the lineup includes Kathy Lopez (her syndicated column appears weekly in the Potomac News), Rich Lowry, Victor David Hansen (a brilliant and succinct writer), Mark Levin (a highly qualified legal mind, author of a best-selling book, and a multi-station radio talk show host), among others.

Also, you need to have discussions with a more serious class of thinkers, so I highly recommend you sign up over at freerepublic.com. This site has the cream of the crop of the conservative movers and shakers in our country. It is sometimes erroneously compared to Democratic Underground, but it is nothing like that cesspool of low-lifes. Instead, we each find news of political interest and post it, and then the gang comments and debates in a thread format which includes "pings" whenever someone responds to your comments. They do live-chat for almost all important things (speeches, C-span hearings, the olympics, and even the show "24"). You could read FR and not have to subscribe to any other news souce -- if it's happening, someone will post it on FreeRepublic.

FR also drives small but dedicated groups of "freepers" who run protests, and counterprotests, throughout the nation. For example, every week patriots from Free Republic show up at Walter Reed hospital to show support for the troops recovering there, in counter-protest to the ghouls from Code Pink who do a weekly anti-war dance mocking the sacrifice of our brave sons and daughters (If you don't know what "code pink" is, you need to check their web site).

I hope this has been helpful to both you and your growing readership.

Free Republic is just a big right wing circle-jerk. TC is probably into that sort of thing though.
